New Heights Integrative Therapy Inc.

Your Rehabilitation Program

Your individualized rehabilitation program will include some combination of the following components:

Comprehensive evaluation

A cornerstone of effective physical therapy and a good treatment program is an accurate and thorough diagnosis of what is wrong. New Heights employs an array of evaluations and reviews to get to the bottom of your health problem. Click here for more.

Therapeutic exercise program

A therapeutic exercise program will be developed to address your specific needs. It may include special exercises that you can do at home, as well as in our clinic. Your exercise program may be controlled resistance or some other form of exercise.

"Controlled resistance" therapy (S.T.E.P.)

This advanced therapy called S.T.E.P (Scientific Therapeutic Exercise Progression) uses very precise resistance movements to shorten your healing process. It allows for protection of injured tissue and can be used in any phase of your injury. S.T.E.P. also gives you a more complete healing of your injury, which reduces the risk of developing scar tissue or having a re-injury. S.T.E.P. is also valuable for osteoporosis prevention. Manual therapy

Manual Therapy is the use of "hands-on" techniques to maximize the body's own self-healing potential. It is used to diagnose and treat injured or unhealthy tissue. Click here for more.

Micro-current therapy

Micro-current is the application of tiny amounts of electrical current to the injured part of the body, which helps injured tissue to heal faster and can relieve pain. Click here for more.

Body movement and integration

Your injury recovery program may include manual therapy, therapeutic massage, exercise, and micro-current therapy. But we don't stop there. Our goal is to help your entire body regain its former grace, posture, strength and flexibility. To this end, we provide special programs such as pilates and t'ai chi. Click here for more.

At-home programs

As your treatment progresses, you may have the option of doing some of your therapy and exercises at home. We provide the equipment and instructions you need to conveniently continue therapy in the comfort of your own home. We also provide a health maintenance program that you can do at home.

Health maintenance program

When your bones, muscles and connective tissue have recovered most of their function, you should have much reduced pain and strong enough tissue to prevent future injury. At this point, we give you a health maintenance program to make sure that you don't regress. Good health and maintenance of full function is a life-long process.

"I always felt that I was a strong participant in my own healing. My questions were always answered in an honest, professional and caring method. Thank you!"

"A few weeks ago I upped the pack weights I walk up Mount Tabor from 60 pounds (where it’s been for a couple months) to 75 pounds. The legs really feel it but not my back. I finally believe it was you, Donna, and New Heights Integrative Therapy, that get the credit for my recovery. Many thanks!"
