Kelly O'Dell-Dzon, MSPT
After graduating with a masters degree in physical therapy from Regis University in 1999, Kelly, a native Coloradoan, treated recreational and elite athletes at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, and continued her sports medicine focus in Aspen. She has practiced at the Broncos Sports Medicine Rehabilitation Center and treated professional dancers from The Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Coming from a movement background including gymnastics, dance, tennis, and skiing, Kelly understood the value of awareness with movement, especially when training core strength. This led her to a certification in rehabilitative Pilates, which she integrates into her current practice.
In an effort to localize the cause of pain and movement dysfunction, Kelly began focusing her studies on manual therapy. She is near completion of her post-graduate certification in manual therapy with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). This education has broadened her understanding of the biomechanical dysfunctions underlying movement patterns and has allowed her to hone her skills in differential diagnosis. A manual therapy focus has also given Kelly treatment tools that complement her training in Pilates allowing her patients to resolve movement dysfunction and achieve their goals.
Kelly Dzon, MSPT is our primary therapist at our Vancouver, WA location. |
