Jodie Adams, DPT, ASTYM Certified

Jodie Adams, PT earned her doctorate degree in physical therapy from Des Moines University (DMU) in 2005.  Her continuing education has been focused on further developing her manual therapy skills she obtained while at DMU.  Jodie employs a variety of treatment techniques, individualized to the patient standing in front of her.  Treatment techniques include Upledger CranioSacral techniques, Frequency Specific Microcurrent, joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, ASTYM, muscle energy techniques, and Barnes myofascial release. She is trained in Ola Grimsby S.T.E.P. (Scientific Therapeutic Exercise Progression) principles and utilizes these concepts to address tissue repair, endurance, coordination, strength, and proprioception/balance. Jodie has clinical experience in treating a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, however, she has an interest in treating conditions such as concussion, headaches, nerve pain, TMJ pain, chronic neck and back pain, fibromyalgia, and whiplash associated disorders.

In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, sauntering through the woods, kayaking, and camping with her husband and son.  She has a goal of visiting all 61 National Parks in the US.
